Louisville Distillery Reimagines Its Lineup Under Bourdon Spirits Ownership
Copper & Kings American Brandy Company has introduced a new flagship lineup that marks a major evolution for the Louisville distillery. Now part of Bourdon Spirits Company, the brand’s relaunch includes three core expressions designed to redefine the American brandy category while emphasizing craftsmanship, transparency, and value.
A New Core Portfolio
The updated Copper & Kings collection features three distinctive spirits:
- Six-Year American Brandy V.S.O.P. – Aged six years and bottled at 86 proof, this refined expression offers a smooth, complex profile that highlights American character and accessibility. SRP: $19.99.
- Six-Year American Apple Brandy (Bottled-in-Bond) – Crafted under the strict standards of the Bottled-in-Bond Act, this spirit delivers bold apple flavor and rich authenticity. SRP: $24.99.
- Straight Bourbon Whiskey – A blend of straight bourbons aged between 5 and 15+ years, finished for up to three years in brandy barrels, bridging two American traditions. SRP: $29.99.
“These releases are more than new bottles—they’re a statement of who we are,” said Rob Bourdon, Founder of Bourdon Spirits Company. “We didn’t set out to follow bourbon. We set out to reclaim America’s original spirit—brandy—and to do it with integrity, craftsmanship, and a sense of adventure that feels truly American.”
The Next Chapter for Copper & Kings
This new core portfolio is available now at the Copper & Kings Distillery in Louisville’s Butchertown neighborhood, with broader distribution rolling out soon. The launch marks the first major milestone since Bourdon Spirits Company acquired Copper & Kings from Constellation Brands in August 2025.
In addition to the reimagined packaging, the distillery has rolled out refreshed visitor experiences and has a renewed focus on small-batch production with clear age statements and value-driven transparency.
