Four Roses Marks 10th Salt River Cleanup with Limited Release

Four Roses Distillery employees will gather on Thursday, September 17, for the 10th annual Salt River Cleanup, continuing a decade-long commitment to protecting and restoring one of the region’s most important natural resources. The limestone-rich waters of the Salt River are deeply tied to the surrounding community and play a key role in the bourbon production process.

The Cleanup:

To mark the anniversary, Four Roses employees will work across the Salt River area behind the distillery. The effort continues the brand’s partnership with the Kentucky Waterway Alliance, a statewide nonprofit that empowers communities to care for local waterways and advocates for stronger watershed protections at the state and national level. The partnership also educates Four Roses employees on how best to protect Kentucky’s waterways for generations to come.

The Release:

To commemorate the milestone, Four Roses will release a limited Private Barrel Selection at its Lawrenceburg Visitor Center for $120, with half of the proceeds benefiting the Kentucky Waterway Alliance. Master Distiller Brent Elliott selected a 10-year-old OESQ recipe for the release — laid down the same year the distillery’s Salt River project began. Each purchase includes a commemorative Salt River Cleanup water bottle as a gift with purchase.
