FALLON, NV (April 17, 2026) — Frey Ranch® Distillery, a leader in the “farm-to-glass” movement and a certified member of the Estate Whiskey Alliance® (EWA), has announced the permanent addition of Frey Ranch Farm Strength Uncut Rye to its flagship portfolio.

Following the massive success of its uncut bourbon counterpart, this 6-year-old cask strength rye is bottled at 124.52 proof. It is crafted from 100% Canadian Winter Rye, grown, harvested, and distilled entirely on the Frey family’s 2,500-acre farm in Northern Nevada.

Pure, Unfiltered Farm-to-Glass Flavor

By bypassing dilution, Frey Ranch offers its rye in its most authentic form. The harsh winters of Northern Nevada contribute to a hardy grain profile that shines through in this high-proof expression.

  • The Mashbill: 100% Canadian Winter Rye.
  • Tasting Notes: A floral nose with hints of root beer and candy cinnamon; a palate featuring cream soda and coffee beans; finishing with dried mint and fresh rye grain.
  • Age: Minimum of 6 years.
  • Price: $79.99 (Available online and at the Frey Ranch Tasting Room).

“Our Farm Strength Uncut Bourbon has outperformed even our wildest expectations since we launched it in the summer of 2023, so it made logical sense for us to expand our cask strength core offerings with a rye whiskey – especially as ultra-premium ryes defy the category downturn and are experiencing substantial growth within the overall American Whiskey industry,” said Colby Frey, Co-Founder and Whiskey Farmer.

Sustainable Stewardship

Frey Ranch remains committed to its motto, “Be good to the land and the land will be good to you,” which is embossed on every bottle. As a founding member of the EWA, the distillery emphasizes provenance and traceability, ensuring every grain used in production is slow-grown on-site under the supervision of Colby Frey and Master Distiller Russell Wedlake.
