FALLON, NV (July 18, 2025) — Frey Ranch® Distillery, a pioneer in true farm-to-glass American whiskey, proudly announces the launch of its Frey Ranch Five Grain Single Barrel Bourbon. This groundbreaking release is the distillery’s first to feature all five grains—corn, wheat, barley, rye, and the rare addition of oat—grown exclusively on the Frey family’s 2,000-acre farm in Fallon, Nevada. With only 342 bottles available across two barrels, this ultra-limited cask-strength bourbon is a must-have for whiskey enthusiasts.

“Oats are notoriously difficult to distill, but (Master Distiller) Russell Wedlake and I love a challenge. Oat is 60 percent hulls by volume and low on starch, which is problematic for a whiskey maker, as the hulls plug up the stills and the low starch means a lower yield per barrel. For this release, we have less than 350 bottles in total that are available for purchase both online and in the Tasting Room, so these are definitely a get ‘em while they’re hot commodity,” said Colby Frey.
