Estate Whiskey Alliance® adds Frey Ranch as one of it’s newest members.
Fallon, NV (February 13, 2025) – Frey Ranch Distillery proudly announces its partnership with the University of Kentucky’s Estate Whiskey Alliance® (EWA), reinforcing its commitment to local sourcing, sustainability, and farm-to-glass whiskey production. As one of the few true estate distilleries in the U.S., Frey Ranch continues to put Nevada on the whiskey map, growing 100% of the grains used in its award-winning bourbons and ryes.
By joining the EWA, Frey Ranch will support research, education, and sustainability initiatives while helping shape the future of estate whiskey—whiskey produced entirely on-site using estate-grown grains.
“The wine world constantly talks about grapes, but the whiskey world rarely discusses grains, which have just as much impact,” said Whiskey Farmer and Co-Founder Colby Frey. “Through the Estate Whiskey Alliance, we aim to educate industry professionals and consumers about the role of U.S. agriculture in American whiskey production.”
The Estate Whiskey Alliance was founded in 2023 by UK Innovate and the UK James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits to support whiskey producers, farmers, suppliers, and academics. This year, the EWA will introduce the Estate Whiskey Certified™ licensing program, allowing only qualifying products to display the prestigious certification mark.
