Gold Bar Whiskey and Joe Montana Launch "Double Gold", New Canned Cocktail

Gold Bar Whiskey, the Official Whiskey of the San Francisco 49ers, has partnered with Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana to release its first ready-to-drink cocktail, the Gold Bar Whiskey “Double Gold.” The new product, a whiskey mule made with Gold Bar Whiskey, ginger, lime, and a splash of orange juice, is packaged in 12oz cans at 8% ABV.

Vintage-Inspired Packaging and Collectibles

Each can of Double Gold includes a QR code that unlocks a complimentary vintage Joe Montana t-shirt, designed as a nod to the quarterback’s legacy. Fans can scan the code and visit the Gold Bar Distillery on Treasure Island to claim their shirt, combining the product with a collectible experience.

Retro Edition Bourbon Honors 49ers Legacy

In addition to the canned cocktail, Gold Bar Whiskey is releasing a Retro Edition 85-proof straight bourbon finished in wine casks. The bottle features a detachable “Necker Koozie,” a drink sleeve created to keep Double Gold cans chilled. Its design is inspired by the iconic gold satin jackets worn by Montana and the San Francisco 49ers in the 1980s. The Retro Edition launches this September at retail and online.
