Redwood Empire is launching its own single-barrel program dubbed Haystack Needle. This single-barrel program will consist of 53 barrels of bourbon and rye whiskey. This will be the first step in sharing the oldest grain-to-glass whiskeys.
Graton, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2024) – Redwood Empire Whiskey, a California-based distillery renowned for its craft spirits inspired by the ancient redwoods, has launched the Haystack Needle Single Barrel Program. This exclusive release features 53 meticulously selected barrels of bourbon and rye whiskey, marking the distillery’s oldest grain-to-glass offering yet.
A Unique Single Barrel Experience
The Haystack Needle program is a testament to Redwood Empire Whiskey’s dedication to quality and craft. Each barrel reflects the harmony of locally sourced grains, precision distillation, and extended aging in California’s unique climate.
“We only distill four barrels a day, ensuring each barrel expresses the full character of the grain,” said Jeff Duckhorn, Master Distiller.
These barrels offer a one-of-a-kind whiskey experience, with rich layers of flavor shaped by toasted and charred oak barrels and Redwood Empire’s cool, consistent climate.
