Bardstown, KY — July 15, 2026 — Heaven Hill Distillery, the world’s largest family-owned and operated distillery and a leader in Bottled-in-Bond whiskey, has launched Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond Double Mash, a first-of-its-kind bourbon that blends two distinct mashbills into a single Bottled-in-Bond release.
The new expression joins Heaven Hill’s award-winning lineup alongside Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond, the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection and Heaven Hill Grain to Glass.
What Makes Double Mash Different
Double Mash combines two-thirds traditional bourbon mashbill (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley) with one-third wheated bourbon mashbill (68% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malted barley). Both components are aged nine years and bottled at 100 proof, meeting the standards of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897.
Because wheated bourbon isn’t a separate legal classification under U.S. whiskey regulations, Heaven Hill’s whiskey makers were able to blend both mashbills into one Bottled-in-Bond bourbon — a combination not currently found elsewhere on the market.
