Jake’s Tasting Notes: High N’ Wicked
Nose: I’m shocked by the nose on this. Typically, I would expect certain notes from a high rye bourbon, such as citrus, cracked pepper, and caramel. However, this whiskey bears so much more leather, pipe tobacco, and more sweet notes of berry, caramelized oak, and burnt sugars.
Palate: Right off the bat, the burnt sugars and caramelization shine nicely. It lends itself to a nutty, brioche French Toast. There is a hint of maple that lingers on the palate which is beautiful.
Finish: The creamy mouthfeel on the palate lingers forever.
