HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY – June 6, 2024 – H K Young Bourbon Co., the latest venture in the world of fine spirits, is proud to announce its official launch. With its roots firmly planted in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, this new innovative brand is set to leave its mark by focusing on the vast potential of toasted barrel finishing.
The company, founded by a trio of bourbon enthusiasts and experts, CG Hanna, Spencer Kilijian, and Tyler Young, is poised to leave a unique mark on the bourbon industry. With initial distribution in Tennessee (Tennessee Craft Distributors), and Kentucky (Heidelberg Distributing Company), their inaugural product line is set to hit the shelves for consumers in July of 2024.
We are thrilled to introduce H.K. Young Bourbon Co. From package design to barrel research and development, we have spent countless hours on every detail. We are ready.
Our admittedly obsessive passion has led us to explore this unique approach. This brand is different, and in today’s market, I think that’s a good thing.

Unlike many brands that offer toasted bourbon as one of their many products, H.K. Young Bourbon Co. aims to stand out by putting the weight of its brand behind the innovative art of blending and toasted barrel finishing.
The goal for the signature product, the H.K. Young Toasted Blend, is to tell the barrels’ stories.

To accomplish this, each batch will consist of various ratios of bourbon finished in a distinct variety of toasted barrels to deliver a bourbon rich in flavor yet different from the last.
We are not simply launching a brand; we are introducing a new perspective on a bourbon segment. Our vision is to craft a bourbon experience that resonates with connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike.

H K Young partnered with Independent Stave Company to develop its “core” toasted barrels for the secondary maturation of its blends. These include:
- Medium Toast, Char #1, Hybrid Oak (American Oak Staves, French Oak Heads), 24-Month Seasoned
- Heavy Toast, American Oak, 18-Month Seasoned
- H.K. Young Custom Toast (developed to extract more spice notes) Char #1, American Oak, 18-Month Seasoned
