LEXINGTON, Ky, September 30, 2025 — Town Branch Distillery, a proud member of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® and the heart of Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co., has announced the release of Town Branch Imperium MMXXV Kentucky Straight Bourbon. This year’s expression, bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV), features a 50% wheated bourbon foundation and a blend of select high-quality Kentucky bourbon barrels. With an SRP of $119.99, this annual release is crafted in extremely limited quantities and will be available in select markets only.

What Makes Town Branch Imperium MMXXV Unique

Now in its second year, the Imperium series has quickly become one of Town Branch’s most anticipated limited editions. The 2025 Imperium release is built from only six carefully chosen barrels from the distillery’s exclusive “Imperium Bourbon Stocks.” These barrels represent the rarest and most exceptional selections across three mash bills:

  • Pot-still Kentucky Bourbon: 72% corn / 15% rye / 13% malted barley
  • Column-still Kentucky Bourbon: 72% corn / 15% rye / 13% malted barley
  • Column-still Wheated Bourbon: 70% corn / 22% wheat / 8% malted barley

After an extensive tasting process led by Head Blender Dave Bob Gaspar, the final blend was chosen to highlight the richness of the wheated bourbon while balancing the bold character of the rye-based mash bills.

  • Appearance: Rich mahogany
  • Aroma: Mature oak, honey, spice, licorice, cherry, ripe plums
  • Palate: Clove, cinnamon, baking spice, leather, oak, dark cherries, vanilla, rich caramel
  • Finish: Lingering dry oak, spice, and honey
