LYNCHBURG, Tenn. (April 21, 2026) – The Jack Daniel Distillery has announced the highly anticipated launch of Jack Daniel’s Special Release Small Batch Rye. This ultra-limited offering features five distinct batches of Tennessee Rye Whiskey sourced from three iconic Lynchburg locations: Coy Hill, Boiler Hill, and Fire Brigade Fields.

Bottled at barrel proof with intensities ranging from 142.7 to 146.1, this release represents the pinnacle of Jack Daniel’s high-proof rye innovation. The liquid was distilled from 129 select barrels matured for an average of 10 years, showcasing the unique environmental impact of each barrelhouse.

“I believe our Tennessee Rye Whiskey recipe is among the most exciting innovations to come out of the Jack Daniel Distillery in the past two decades,” said Master Distiller Chris Fletcher. “In recent years, we began to identify barrels at some of our hidden gem barrelhouses that were simply too low-yielding for other bottlings like Bonded Rye and Single Barrel Rye, but had the potential to produce high character whiskey. This small batch release truly showcases how place and time can create intense, bold flavor that is unmistakably Jack.”

The Details:

  • Proof Range: 142.7 – 146.1 (71.35% – 73.05% ABV)
  • Mash Bill: 70% Rye, 18% Corn, 12% Malted Barley
  • Format: 375 mL bottles
  • Price: $64.99 (Distillery Exclusive)

This release highlights the “Landscape of Lynchburg,” utilizing the legendary heat of Coy Hill alongside two new locations, Boiler Hill and Fire Brigade Fields. Collectors can expect bold aromas of burnt oak and black pepper, with a complex finish of leather, cinnamon, and butterscotch.

Jack Daniel’s Special Release Small Batch Rye is available beginning this month in very limited quantities, exclusively at the White Rabbit Bottle Shop in Lynchburg, Tenn.
