The Irish Whiskey is Celebrating the First Pro American Football Game in Dublin

Jameson Irish Whiskey has launched a new campaign, positioning itself as the “Unofficial Whiskey for Football Fans” ahead of the first professional American football game in Dublin on September 28, 2025. The announcement follows Jameson’s previous support in 2023 and 2024 for bringing professional football to Ireland.

Campaign Platform and Media Presence

The “Unofficial Whiskey for Football Fans” campaign, conceptualized by Ogilvy, highlights the role of fans in shaping the game. The campaign will run across Jameson-owned channels and paid media through November 2, 2025. As part of the rollout, Jameson will air the first-ever live commercial by a spirits brand on ESPN’s SportsCenter.

Fan Events in the U.S. and Ireland

Jameson will host viewing parties on September 28 in both Minneapolis, Minnesota, and at the Jameson Bow Street Distillery in Dublin. In partnership with the Minnesota Vikings, Jameson will invite U.S. fans to a viewing and sampling event. In Dublin, the first 100 fans wearing American football gear on September 27–28 will receive a Jameson American football merchandise pack.

Limited-Edition Football Flask Release

To commemorate the event, Jameson has introduced the Jameson Football Flask, a keepsake shaped like a regulation football that holds a 750mL bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey. The flask and bottle set will be available beginning September 25 through ReserveBar.com for $109.99 plus tax and shipping, while supplies last. Fans can sign up on the product page to be notified when sales go live.

Cultural Activations with Complex

Jameson has partnered with Complex to create football-inspired events and merchandise. These activations include themed cocktails, food, live entertainment, and exclusive limited-edition merch at events in New York City during the Dublin game and in Los Angeles at a later date.
