Jake’s Tasting Notes: Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series: Anejo Tequila Barrels
Nose: Vanilla, hints of traditional Jack Daniel’s (caramel & toasted bananas foster), with cracked white pepper.
Palate: Cracked pepper, vanilla, brown sugar and honey.
Finish: Lingering notes of the traditional Jack Daniel’s notes of banana & caramel for medium finish.
Closing Thoughts:
Like I thought, this was a home run! I have gone back to this whiskey two or three times since it arrived. I enjoy the waves of vanilla balanced by hints of tequila throughout the pour.
