Head to Bardstown for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival

The 2019 Edition of the Annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival kicks off on September 18th and runs through September 22nd. Events take place throughout Bardstown, Kentucky and the Festival celebrates the Bourbon Capital of the World®.

The Festival has dozens of events, educational opportunities, arts and crafts, music on the lawn, and much more. While some events are ticketed events, many are free and there is something for everyone. A full list of events can be found on the official website for the Festival.

One of the must-see events of the Festival is the World Championship Bourbon Barrel Relay®. The competition features teams from some of your favorite Bourbon brands as they roll 500-lb barrels around a 40-foot course and methodically load them into a mini rickhouse on the Great Lawn. This event occurs on Saturday, September 21st at 11:00am.

Live music is also an element of the Festival with full lineups for both Friday and Saturday night.
