LONDON, UK (July 1, 2026) – Maker’s Mark® has officially launched its first-ever collaboration with luxury British retailer Selfridges: “Selfridges Barrel No. 1 2026” Private Selection. This bespoke, highly allocated bottling marks a historic milestone between the iconic Kentucky bourbon brand and the world-renowned retail destination.

The ultra-exclusive release consists of only 258 bottles globally and is available now for a limited time at Selfridges’ London, Manchester, and Birmingham brick-and-mortar stores, as well as online at Selfridges.com.

Tailored For Global Discerning Palates: The Stave Selection

Every Private Selection expression begins its life as fully matured Maker’s Mark Cask Strength. The liquid is then subjected to a secondary, custom maturation process using ten handcrafted oak staves.

For the Selfridges Barrel No. 1 2026 expression, the Selfridges team designed a unique stave combination through the distillery’s immersive Private Selection program. This precise combination yields a flavor profile tailored specifically for their clientele while maintaining the soft red winter wheat character that has defined Maker’s Mark since 1953.

Product & Flavor Breakdown:

  • ABV / Proof: 55.4% ABV (110.8 Proof)
  • Bottle Size: 700ml (UK standard bottle volume)
  • Tasting Notes: A robust balance of bold baking spice, rich dark fruit, vanilla bean sweetness, and deep, structured oak leading into a long, warming finish.

In Their Words

“The Private Selection program allows us to share our obsessive approach to flavour discovery, inviting partners who refuse to compromise on quality to shape their own perfect expression of Maker’s Mark.” said Rob Samuels, eighth-generation whisky maker and managing director of Maker’s Mark. ” Selfridges brought that exact, uncompromising vision to our stave-finishing process. Together, we ignored the easy path to create a bourbon that is intensely personal, meticulously crafted, and entirely unique within our series.”
