Louisville, KY (April 23, 2025) – Barrell Craft Spirits® (BCS), the original independent blender of unique aged, cask strength whiskey since 2013, today launched Barrell Full Proof, its first one-of-a-kind full proof bourbon blend. “While cask strength bourbon is bottled at the proof it is when it leaves the barrel, full proof bourbon is bottled at the same proof as when it first entered the barrel,” the release states. Available at barrellbourbon.com and select retailers for $199.99 per 750ml bottle, only 300 bottles are produced, making it highly exclusive.
A Masterful Blend of Barrell Craft Spirits Full Proof
“The BCS blending team began by meticulously selecting individual barrels and cutting each one to its original barrel entry proof. Through careful blending, they then harmonized these distinct elements into a bold full-flavored masterpiece, resulting in an exceptional blend featuring notes of hazelnut, chocolate, tobacco, and leather,” per the release. The Full Proof Bourbon includes straight bourbons from:
- Indiana: 16 & 18 years
- Tennessee: 16 & 17 years
- Kentucky: 11 & 20 years
Bottled at 123 proof (61.5% ABV) with a derived mash bill of 78% corn, 11% rye, and 11% malted barley, it delivers a robust profile.
Tasting Notes: Bold and Complex
- Nose: Hazelnut, chocolate, tobacco
- Palate: Leather, rich oak
- Finish: Warm, lingering spice
