A New Cask Strength Expression Crafted by Fifth-Generation Master Distiller Drew Kulsveen
Willett Distillery has announced the release of its newest expression, the Willett Family Estate Small Batch Bourbon, a handcrafted whiskey that showcases the distillery’s ongoing commitment to quality, innovation, and family tradition under fifth-generation Master Distiller Drew Kulsveen.
This new small batch release brings together two distinct mashbills:
- 70% of the blend: 72% Corn, 13% Rye, 15% Barley
- 30% of the blend: 52% Corn, 38% Rye, 10% Barley
Each batch consists of approximately 50 barrels, highlighting Willett’s approach to artful blending and the influence of different ages and flavor profiles. Distilled at a barrel entry proof of 125, the bourbon is bottled at cask strength, with proof varying by batch to ensure each release offers a unique and authentic experience.
Continuing a Family Legacy
Crafted under the guidance of Drew Kulsveen, this release continues the vision of his late father, Even G. Kulsveen, whose leadership and dedication helped transform Willett Distillery into one of Kentucky’s most respected whiskey producers.
The new expression joins the highly sought-after Willett Family Estate Single Barrel line and the Willett Family Estate Small Batch Rye Whiskey.
