Full Details on the Release:

Old Forester is commemorating the 91st anniversary of Repeal Day with the release of a new, limited-edition bourbon, Warehouse I, as part of their ongoing 117 Series. This special release honors the end of Prohibition with a unique 11-year-old bourbon that captures the holiday spirit with its rich flavor profile. The Warehouse I expression features bourbon aged exclusively in barrels from the distillery’s historic Warehouse I, delivering a taste unlike any other in Old Forester’s collection.

The bourbon in Warehouse I comes from barrels aged since 2013 and was heat-cycled, allowing the intense temperatures of the hottest floors to influence its maturation. According to Old Forester’s Assistant Master Distiller Caleb Trigo, these barrels were specifically selected for their ability to produce a flavor profile that reflects the unique environmental conditions of Warehouse I. Bottled at 95-proof (47.5% ABV), this limited-edition release is designed to showcase the distinct maturation process in one of the most iconic warehouses for Old Forester.

“Our 117 series is all about experimentation, and the characteristics of Warehouse I make it perfect for this innovative series,” Master Taster Melissa Rift added. “This one-of-a-kind bourbon is a great way to celebrate the holidays.”

Available in a 375 ml bottle, Warehouse I will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. EST on December 5, 2024, at the Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. Due to its limited availability, it can also be shipped to select states (Kentucky, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Washington, D.C.) through Old Forester’s online store at shop.oldforester.com, and is also available at select Kentucky retailers.
