Two New Hermitage Reserve Releases Expand the Old Hickory Aged Whiskey Portfolio.
Old Hickory Bourbon has announced two new limited-edition expressions: the Hermitage Reserve 12-Year-Old Straight Rye Bottled in Bond and the Hermitage Reserve 15-Year-Old Barrel Proof Whiskey. The new releases continue the legacy of a brand founded in 1868 in Fayette County, Kentucky, later revived after Prohibition and acquired by R.S. Lipman Company in 2011.
Brand Emphasizes Tradition and Depth
“We know our fans want something with history and true depth,” Trisha Cancilla, vice president of marketing and brand strategy at Lipman Brothers and R.S. Lipman Company. “Our new 12 and 15-year-old releases bring the best of Old Hickory’s tradition straight to your glass. We take great pride in the time and skill poured into every barrel. Each release reflects our belief that great bourbon is earned, not rushed.”
Flavor Profiles Showcase Aged Complexity
Old Hickory Hermitage Reserve 15-Year-Old Barrel Proof Whiskey offers aromas of butterscotch, cake batter, and toasted marshmallow, followed by flavors of sweet spice and brown sugar. The finish is described as long, with notes of butter and waffle cone.
The Hermitage Reserve 12-Year-Old Straight Rye Bottled in Bond features caramel and vanilla on the palate, complemented by aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, and mint. Both whiskeys emphasize the brand’s long-standing approach to crafting aged expressions with depth and character.
New Releases Join an Expanding Portfolio
The new 12- and 15-year-old expressions join Old Hickory’s existing lineup, which includes Old Hickory White Label Straight Bourbon, Old Hickory Blended Whiskey, and the limited Hermitage Reserve 10-Year-Old Barrel Proof Whiskey.
Legacy as a Guiding Principle
Cancilla reiterated the brand’s focus on heritage as a guiding philosophy. “For us, whiskey is more than a drink; it’s a legacy,” she said. “These new releases are our answer to the call for quality and story, shared across the table and over the years.”
