SAN FRANCISCO, October 17, 2024 – Just in time for the holiday season, Hotaling & Co. Distillery introduces a festive new release: Old Potrero Christmas Spirit (50% ABV, 700ml, $139.99 SRP). This special limited-edition whiskey is distilled from a legendary 2011 San Francisco Christmas Spiced Ale. It serves as a tribute to the city’s legacy of brewing and distilling innovation.
After twice-distilling the ale in traditional copper pot stills, the whiskey matured for 12 years in once-used Old Potrero Straight Rye Whiskey Barrels. This process created a complex spirit with a warm holiday essence. Old Potrero Christmas Spirit offers a festive palate. It presents evolving aromas of orange, chocolate, and vanilla. These aromas balance roasted barley notes with rich cinnamon and spiced berry flavors.
