JALISCO, MX (April 29, 2026) — House of Rare Tequila, the experimental small-batch brand favored by collectors, officially announces the debut of RAREcask Genesis PX ($229.99 SRP). This release marks the inaugural expression of the RAREcask series—the industry’s first dedicated aging program specifically designed to bridge the worlds of premium Tequila and fine Scotch whisky.

Founded by Mexico City-based Miguel Ortiz, House of Rare leverages the “fresh cask” philosophy common in Scotch production. RAREcask Genesis PX is an Extra Añejo originally distilled at the Arette Distillery. After aging for three years in ex-bourbon barrels, the spirit is finished for at least three months in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks to achieve a distinctive richness and texture.

“With RAREcask, we saw an opportunity to expand the boundaries of tequila by applying the depth and discipline of aging techniques typically reserved for Scotch,” says Miguel Ortiz, Founder. “The use of PX casks is a purposeful choice – one that transforms the tequila, layering in distinctive richness, texture and complexity.”

The RAREcask program is built on high-profile collaborations with legendary distilleries such as Cascahuín and Atanasio. To ensure maximum flavor transfer, House of Rare prioritizes “cask freshness,” often refilling barrels within a week of being drained.

Tasting Profile: RAREcask Genesis PX (46% ABV)

  • Nose: Roasted agave, dark raisin, fig compote, and cocoa powder.
  • Palate: Silky and structured with dark caramel, molasses, cinnamon, and clove.
  • Finish: Medium-long with lingering cacao and elegant agave echoes.

RAREcask Genesis PX is available in 1,000-bottle lots online and at select retailers in California, New York, and Florida. For more information, visit www.houseofraretequila.com.
