Redemption Whiskey is combining two demanding whiskey designations with its new Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon, a six-year-plus expression bottled at 100 proof and launching nationwide in September.
A Single Barrel Meets Bottled-in-Bond
Redemption Whiskey is entering new territory with the launch of Redemption Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon, the first Bottled-in-Bond expression in the brand’s portfolio. The new bourbon brings together the individual character of a single barrel with the strict production requirements established by the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897.
The bourbon is aged for a minimum of six years—two years beyond the federal four-year requirement—and bottled at exactly 100 proof. It is distilled during an individual distilling season at MGP’s Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, before being non-chill filtered and bottled by Redemption Barrel Selections in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The combination makes for an interesting pairing. Single barrel bourbon emphasizes the differences between individual barrels, while Bottled-in-Bond establishes a consistent federal standard for production, aging and proof.Master Blender Alan Kennedy selected individual barrels based on character, structure and balance, with each bottle carrying its own barrel number, distilling season, mash bill and age statement.
“Single barrel whiskey is about embracing what can’t be replicated,” said Alan Kennedy, Master Blender at Redemption. “No two barrels mature exactly alike, and that’s what makes this work so rewarding.”
A Six-Year, Rye-Forward Bourbon at $49.99
Redemption Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon features a 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley mash bill, giving the whiskey a distinctly rye-forward profile consistent with Redemption’s broader portfolio.
The bourbon opens with aromas of vanilla, worn leather, bright raspberry and subtle oak. On the palate, vanilla and toasted oak lead into crème brûlée, sweet corn and warm baking spices. The finish brings deep caramel alongside lingering oak and spice.
Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) and presented in a 750mL bottle, the new bourbon will be available nationwide beginning in September 2026, coinciding with National Bourbon Heritage Month. The suggested retail price is $49.99.
First Release in Relaunched Higher Marques Collection
The new Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon also marks the first release in the relaunched Higher Marques Collection, Redemption’s ultra-premium tier focused on elevated expressions and traditional whiskey formats.
The collection will feature updated packaging that builds on Redemption’s award-winning Eagle bottle design. Unlike a one-time limited release, Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon will remain an ongoing part of the Higher Marques Collection, with six-bottle cases offered as barrels become available.
“Choosing to bottle a bonded single barrel is a bet on our own barrels,” Kennedy said. “Bottling one barrel at a time, to a standard you can’t bend, means every barrel must earn its distinction.”
Redemption 18-Year-Old Bourbon Returns
Redemption is also bringing back its 18-Year-Old Bourbon from the Ancients Series in limited quantities during fall 2026. The expression originally debuted in June 2025.
The 18-year-old bourbon is non-chill filtered and bottled at 102.85 proof (51.43% ABV) at barrel proof. It features a 74% corn, 22% rye and 4% malted barley mash bill.
Tasting notes include warm oak, cherry jam, cinnamon and mint on the nose, followed by vanilla, cherry, sweet corn and leather on the palate. The finish carries oak, vanilla and cherry.
The 18-Year-Old Bourbon will be available in limited quantities at a suggested retail price of $399.99 for a 750mL bottle.
