Closing Thoughts
This is my style of rye whiskey. I think the Heaven’s Door Decades Series Rye Whiskey is one that bourbon and rye drinkers would love. It falls within my guidelines for aged whiskey at about $10 per year which is a great value in the Limited Time Offering market we live in.
About the Whiskey:
The Heaven’s Door Decade Series is a collection of limited-edition whiskeys, each featuring a 10-year-old aged expression. These whiskeys are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike, with each release showcasing the brand’s commitment to bring new, innovative expressions to market.
The Decade Series II expression is the second release in the Decade Series. This 10-year-old rye whiskey is bottled at 100 proof and features a mash bill consisting of 95% rye and 5% barley. This expression offers bold and spicy flavors that are complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and caramel from the oak barrel. A great example of a well-aged rye whiskey, and its 100-proof bottling provides a satisfying warmth and depth of flavor.
