Jake’s Tasting Notes: HIRSCH Bivouac
Color: Light Honey
Nose: Grain forward, sweet from the corn, very doughy with a hint of cinnamon.
Palate: Corn sweetness right off the tip of the palate, fades to a soft caramel, with toffee and oak coming through in the back part of the drink. Very oily mouthfeel giving this pour the ability to be an easy sipper. Solid session bourbon.
Finish: Short, all on the palate no “Kentucky Hug”
Closing Thoughts
This is a good solid sipper. If you are looking for a grain forward bourbon that is easy to drink with a enough flavor to keep the good times rolling this is a solid choice.
