I couldn’t let St. Patrick’s Day slide and not try two of the newest Irish Whiskeys that have we have received over the last few months. In today’s tasting we will be tasting Dingle Samhain Single Malt and the Method and Madness Garryana Finish. Let’s dive into this joint review of these Irish Whiskeys.

Tasting Notes: Dingle Samhain Irish Single Malt
Nose: Apple cider, vanilla, touch of malt and fresh cinnamon stick.
Palate: Vanilla, light caramel, touch of pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Finish: Very bright finish lingering baking spice

- Style: Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey
- Mashbill: Undisclosed
- Proof: 92
- Age: Undisclosed

Tasting Notes: Method + Madness Garryana
Nose: Cream soda, vanilla, touch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and all spice. It reminds me of fall on the nose.
Palate: The palate on the other hand reminds me of summer. Very fruity on the palate, almost tropical. A great spice rack of allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and piña colada vibe.
Finish: Great flavors of coconut and vanilla on the finish.
Closing Thoughts
This was a great tasting on St. Patrick’s Day. I can say there is great whiskey coming out of Ireland and these are two examples of some really tasty pours. If you are looking for something different, give either one of these a try!
