Stitzel-Weller Distillery has announced the launch of Stitzel Reserve, a new series of rare, distillery-exclusive releases, beginning with a 24-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
This inaugural offering marks the start of a limited collection that will showcase some of the most aged and carefully preserved barrels from the iconic distillery. Originally opened in 1935, Stitzel-Weller has long been celebrated for its influence on the American whiskey industry.
Rare Inaugural Release Aged for 24 Years
The first release in the Stitzel Reserve series is a 24-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, drawn from just nine barrels and yielding only 191 bottles. Crafted under the direction of Nicole Austin, Director of American Whiskey Liquid Development and Capabilities at Diageo, the bourbon reflects decades of aging and craftsmanship. “This exceptional 24-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has spent decades maturing under careful supervision, developing a profile rich with notes of cracked leather, saddle oil, and burnt sugar,” said Austin.
On-Site Only: Exclusive to Stitzel-Weller Visitors
Stitzel Reserve releases will be available only at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. There is no fixed release schedule; bottles will be released only when the liquid is deemed to have reached peak maturity. The first expression will be available starting June 2025 to consumers aged 21 and older. Pricing for the 750mL bottle is available upon request at the distillery.

Visitors can enjoy a curated tasting of the 24-Year-Old Bourbon at the Garden & Gun Club located on the Stitzel-Weller grounds. Each purchase includes an etched whiskey glass, branded bag, and a limited-edition Stitzel-Weller Distillery pin. These extras underscore the rarity and significance of the release.

The Stitzel Reserve line honors the 90-year legacy of the Stitzel-Weller Distillery and its ongoing mission to elevate American whiskey. “The launch of Stitzel Reserve is a pivotal moment for our distillery.
