Two Distilleries Team Up for Friendly Super Bowl Wager to Benefit Charity

The “Battle of Red and Gold”. Kansas City vs. San Francisco. Call it “The Rickhouse Rumble”. Two local whiskey producers have put a friendly wager on the line for Super Bowl Sunday.

Weston (Kansas City), Missouri’s Holladay Distillery and San Francisco’s Gold Bar Distillery / Gold Bar Whiskey have come together in support of their teams, their cities, and for charity leading up to The Big Game on Sunday, February 11, 2024. As the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco ready for the Super Bowl, their hometown distilleries have decided to team up in a friendly wager for charity. The losing city’s distillery will make a donation to the other team’s charity of choice at the conclusion of next Sunday’s match-up.

Holladay Distillery has announced that a Kansas City Chiefs victory will benefit Operation Breakthrough. Co-Founded by the late Sister Berta Sailer, the organization provides a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and empowers their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education. Known as the Mother Teresa of Kansas City, Sister Berta passed away January, 25, 2024 at the age of 87. A 50-year champion of children and families facing adversity, Sister Berta spent most of her life providing social services, education and health for those most in need. Additionally, on Friday, February 9th, Holladay Distillery offered Chiefs themed cocktails with all proceeds going to Operation Breakthrough. No word yet on who Gold Bar Whiskey has selected as their charitable organization. We’ve reached out to the company and will provide an update when available.

Super Bowl Charity Wager makes the game a little more interesting!
