Latitude Beverage just announced their Summer 2024 Limited Release of Wheel Horse Whiskey. The newest, limited edition whiskey is a 4-year rye finished in Caribbean Rum barrels.
The release is the brand’s first cask-finished rye. Prior releases in the limited seasonal series have included Toasted Barrel Bourbon and Cigar Blend Bourbon – the latter of which just received 91-points from Whisky Advocate. The new cask-finished rye is limited to 2,100 bottles and was matured over four years in new charred oak barrels before being transferred to Caribbean Rum barrels, originally used by Appleton Estate. The whiskey is bottled at 101 proof, non-chill filtered and has an SRP of $37.99.
