Avalon Spirits Inc. has introduced Whiskey Row Bourbon, a new line of expressions honoring Louisville’s historic Main Street “Whiskey Row,” where bourbons were once aged, blended, and shipped down the Ohio River.
Developed at the Kentucky Artisan Distillery in Crestwood, Kentucky, the series comprises three inaugural releases: Triple Wood, Bottled in Bond, and Cask Strength.

Triple Wood Maturation for Enhanced Complexity
The core Triple Wood expression is aged for a minimum of four years before undergoing a dual finishing process in Cognac and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks. This approach, inspired by pre‑Prohibition experimentation, aims to deliver layered flavor profiles reflecting the ingenuity of early American whiskey makers.
Upholding Bottled‑In‑Bond Standards
Whiskey Row Bourbon’s Bottled in Bond offering adheres to the federally mandated process—distilled by a single distiller, in one season, at one distillery, aged at least four years in a bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof. This ensures quality, authenticity, and a bold character true to historic Bottled‑in‑Bond tradition.
Uncut, Cask Strength Expression
The Cask Strength release is bottled without modification, showcasing uncut proof straight from the barrel. By forgoing finishing casks, this expression highlights the raw, robust flavors that defined early whiskey before blending became widespread.

“Whiskey Row Bourbon is rooted in Louisville, Kentucky, but its origins reflect a broader range of flavors across America — shaped by the agriculture, entrepreneurship, and exchange of ideas that established bourbon as the quintessential American spirit,” says Founder John Glover.
Selective Regional Rollout & Future Expressions
Now available in Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, and Tennessee, Whiskey Row Bourbon will expand to Europe and other markets later in 2025. Future releases will spotlight regional maturation techniques and blending profiles from emerging American whiskey regions, continuing the legacy of late Bourbon Hall of Fame inductee Steve Thompson.
