Single malt whisky producer Ardbeg has inaugurated Ardbeg House, a boutique hotel located in Port Ellen on the Scottish island of Islay.

Situated close to the distillery, the hotel offers visitors an immersive stay that combines Scottish hospitality with the character of Ardbeg’s whisky heritage.

Hotel Features 12 Rooms and Suites

Designed in collaboration with Russell Sage Studio, the hotel includes 12 rooms and suites. The design incorporates local craftsmanship and references to the history of Islay and Ardbeg. Guests can enjoy a tailored environment that reflects both tradition and contemporary Scottish style.

Signature Dining and Islay Bar Experiences

Ardbeg House features a Signature restaurant and an Islay Bar, where Scottish cuisine is paired with Ardbeg whiskies. Exclusive drams, available only at Ardbeg House and the distillery, are highlighted in these experiences. Food and drink offerings are designed to deepen the connection between Islay’s flavors and Ardbeg’s whisky.

Exclusive Guest Experiences

Guests of the hotel gain access to private distillery tours, guided explorations of Islay’s landscapes, and a daily whisky hour ritual at 18:15 in the bar, featuring tastings of small-batch whiskies. These activities are reserved exclusively for hotel visitors.

“With Ardbeg House we are very excited to immerse our guests in the spirit of Islay and the universe of Ardbeg,” said Caspar MacRae, President and CEO of Ardbeg. “Whether our guests are smoky malt lovers or just discovering our exceptional whisky, we guarantee they will leave the island as lifelong fans of Ardbeg and Islay.”

Ardbeg House is now open to both visitors and the local community, marking a new chapter in the brand’s history. The boutique hotel aims to create a setting for remarkable food, hospitality, and whisky experiences rooted in the heritage of Islay.
