New Release Showcases 15- and 12-Year Bourbons.

15 STARS has announced the launch of its newest limited-edition expression, Artisan Collection, timed to coincide with the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. Only 1,290 bottles have been produced, blending straight bourbons aged 15 and 12 years, sourced from Kentucky and Indiana. The release is now available at select retailers nationwide and online at 15STARS.com, with a suggested retail price of $179.

Success at John Barleycorn Awards

The 15 STARS Artisan Collection has already earned critical acclaim, receiving Best Bourbon at the Spring 2025 John Barleycorn Awards. The honor highlights the brand’s approach to craftsmanship, blending techniques, and its proprietary Flavor Proofing™ process.

High-Corn Mashbill

Co-founder Ricky Johnson described the distinguishing feature of the release: “What makes Artisan Collection special is that the bourbon’s mashbill contains a high corn content, which gives the liquid a dessert sweetness. The sweetness helps to seamlessly balance the oak notes that come with the high age statement.”

Tasting Notes and Profile from 15 STARS

Bottled at 109 proof, the 15 STARS Artisan Collection claims to deliver layered aromas and flavors:

  • Nose: Maple, caramel, and dried fruits, alongside nutmeg, pepper, tobacco, oak, and hay field notes.
  • Palate: Caramel and vanilla with bold aged oak, leather, and dark fruits such as prune and raisin.
  • Finish: Plum and caramel leading into dark chocolate, roasted nuts, oak, and leather.

Availability and Details

The Artisan Collection was designed with collectors and enthusiasts in mind. Each bottle emphasizes 15 STARS’ commitment to blending aged bourbons while maintaining limited availability. Consumers can purchase through select retailers or directly at 15STARS.com.
