Dixon Dedman and 2XO Add White Oak Rye to Oak Series

2XO Whiskey, led by renowned blender Dixon Dedman, has announced the addition of White Oak Rye, the first Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey in the brand’s Oak Series. White Oak Rye now joins American Oak Bourbon and French Oak Bourbon as part of the brand’s core lineup.

Rye with a Double Oak Twist

White Oak Rye is made with a 95% rye mash bill and finished using Dixon’s signature double oak technique, where additional charred American White Oak is introduced to the barrels during maturation. Dedman explained, “After releasing American Oak and French Oak bourbons, Rye was the next natural addition to our ongoing Oak series. I’ve always enjoyed working with a high rye mashbill, and with White Oak Rye, that signature pepper comes through, along with sweeter notes from the double oak exposure during maturation.”

Flavor Profile and Price

White Oak Rye is bottled at SRP $49.99 for 750ml and the brand states it will deliver notes of pine, mint, cedar, and peppery spice, balanced by sweeter barrel character from the additional oak.

Availability

The launch will see limited availability in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, and Wisconsin, with broader expansion planned for 2026. It is also available online via ReserveBar.com.

Oak Series Recognition

White Oak Rye joins a series which has received multiple awards. American Oak Bourbon received 97 points and a Double Gold Medal at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, while French Oak Bourbon earned 94 points and a Gold Medal at the same competition.
