Jack Daniel’s Barrel Tree Sale Supports Military Families through the “Operation Ride Home” program.
Jack Daniel’s is brightening the holiday season for military families with its annual “Barrel Tree” sale, benefiting the “Operation Ride Home” program. This initiative helps junior-enlisted service members and their families travel home for the holidays by offering barrels from 10 festive “Barrel Trees” across the United States. Each barrel, priced at $200, can be purchased at operationridehome.com, with all proceeds directly supporting the program. Since its inception in 2011, “Operation Ride Home” has assisted nearly 13,000 service members from all branches—Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard—in returning to their families, raising nearly $3 million in the process.
The 2024 “Barrel Tree” campaign features trees in cities such as Nashville, Tampa, San Antonio, Washington D.C., New York, San Francisco, and more. The festive trees, built from Jack Daniel’s signature charred oak whiskey barrels, were first introduced in Lynchburg, TN, in 2011 as a way to bring festive cheer to the community. The barrels used to create the trees once held Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, now repurposed to help military families create lasting memories during the holiday season.
Our whiskey barrels have always had a special role to play, and during the holiday season, they take on an even greater purpose—bringing military families together. We hope our friends will purchase a barrel to help service members create cherished memories with their loved ones. It’s an opportunity to honor their sacrifices and make this season even more meaningful for the families.
