This marks the first North American non-chill filtered whiskey in the Orphan Barrel collection.
Orphan Barrel has launched Fanged Pursuit, a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey aged 17 years. The whiskey is carefully crafted to enhance flavor complexity, retaining fats, proteins, and oils that are typically removed in the chill filtering process. This results in a richer taste and improved mouthfeel. The Fanged Pursuit label artwork features a lone bobcat, symbolizing the bourbon’s slow and deliberate aging process in Kentucky’s forests.
The Fanged Pursuit bourbon is aged in charred American Oak barrels for 17 years, allowing the spirit to develop depth and a complex flavor profile. The blend includes 68-74% corn, 18-22% rye, and 8-10% malted barley. On the nose, it offers aromas of vanilla, red cherries, and honey. The palate reveals notes of toasted oak, orchard fruits, and spices, complemented by a velvety texture.
Fanged Pursuit is a standout for those who savor the artistry and depth of American bourbon-making.
