Cedar Ridge Unveils “Number Five” in QuintEssential Special Release Series

The QuintEssential Special Release series showcases the blending expertise of Murphy Quint.

Cedar Ridge Distillery has announced the release of Number Five, the fifth edition in its QuintEssential Special Release series of American Single Malt whiskeys. This release honors the number five, a symbol deeply rooted in the distillery’s identity. Cedar Ridge was founded in 2005, and the family name “Quint” translates to “five.” The distillery has also previously released a Madeira-inspired dessert wine named “V,” reinforcing the significance of the number.

Five Cask Finishes Define This Limited Release

Number Five is a blend of American Single Malt whiskey finished in five distinct cask types:

  1. Imported Port Casks
  2. Estate Port Casks
  3. Imported Madeira Wine Casks
  4. Estate V Casks (Madeira-inspired)
  5. Estate Marquette Wine Casks (from estate-grown red grapes)

This multifaceted finishing process highlights the blending approach of Master Blender Murphy Quint, who continues to develop unique flavor profiles for the series.
