Woodinville Launches New Whiskey: 8 Year, 100% Rye

New Release Rye Whiskey Available at the Distillery on Saturday, June 7.

Woodinville Whiskey Company has announced the release of its oldest rye expression to date—Woodinville 100% Rye Aged 8 Years. The new release will debut on Saturday, June 7, with the first 500 bottles available exclusively at the distillery at 7:00 a.m. National distribution through online channels and select retailers will follow.

Washington-Grown, Grain-to-Glass Rye Whiskey

This 100% rye whiskey is produced entirely in Washington State, from planting to aging. The rye is grown on the Omlin family farm in Quincy, where it undergoes hand irrigation and year-round care. After harvest, the grain is transported to Woodinville for milling, mashing, and distillation, then returned to Quincy to age in custom-specified American oak barrels.

A Commitment to Craft, Not Convenience

Woodinville co-founder Orlin Sorensen emphasized the brand’s focus on craftsmanship: “None of this is efficient, but it’s 100% worth it. We are laser-focused on quality, and if it takes an extra step or two on the journey, we’ll absolutely forge that path. We’re here to make the best craft whiskey in America, and we’re excited to share this Woodinville 100% Rye Aged 8 Years.”

Flavor Profile and Availability

According to the company, tasting notes include dark molasses, clove, and brown sugar on the nose, with cinnamon, vanilla, dark honey, and dried cranberry on the palate, finishing with a long, warm, peppery finish and a dry, oaky grip. Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), each 750ml bottle is individually numbered and carries a $129.99 MSRP.

Release Details and Distribution

The first 500 bottles will be sold at the Woodinville distillery, with broader availability rolling out across the U.S. through select retail outlets and online platforms. This marks a significant milestone for the brand’s national expansion of its aged rye offerings.
