James B. Beam’s Third Batch of Booker’s Bourbon Announced in 2025.
The James B. Beam Distilling Co. has introduced the third Booker’s® Bourbon release of the year, “Jerry’s Batch.” The release pays tribute to Jerry Dalton, the only non-Beam family member to serve as Master Distiller at the company.
Honoring a Mentor and Friend
Booker Noe and Fred Noe first met Dalton when he moved into a neighboring house and began working as a chemist at a local distillery. Dalton later joined the James B. Beam Distilling Co. and became close friends with the family. After Booker retired, Dalton stepped in as Master Distiller until Fred Noe was ready to assume the role. Fred has credited Dalton with teaching him much of the science behind bourbon-making.
Fred Noe stated: “For years, I just assumed Jerry was already part of the Bourbon Hall of Fame, but he only got inducted last summer. He’s a real humble guy who never liked making too much of a fuss, but he’s damn worth celebrating. Beam wouldn’t be what it is without him, and I couldn’t be prouder to honor him with this batch.”

Barrel Selection and Age Statement
Jerry’s Batch is aged 7 years, 4 months, and 21 days, bottled at 124.7 proof, and carries an MSRP of $99.99. The release was crafted from barrels originating from seven different production dates across nine warehouses. Each warehouse contributed approximately 11.1% of the final blend, including barrels from warehouses 1, 3, 4, G (Waterfill), K, L, O, X, and Z.
Booker’s Jerry’s Batch Tasting Profile
According to the distillery, Jerry’s Batch offers aromas of vanilla and spices on the nose. The palate is described as big, bold, and “unmistakably Booker’s® Bourbon,” with a long, delightful finish.
Master Distiller’s Notes
In production notes, the Booker’s team highlighted how Kentucky’s climate and warehouse conditions influence bourbon maturation. “The interaction of these various batches from their specific storage locations proves the old axiom true, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” the statement read. The bourbon is said to deliver flavors of vanilla, caramel, and oak, complemented by subtle hints of butterscotch and apple.
