The Special Edition Bourbon Marked Major Racing Milestone.
In May 2025, Big Machine Distillery partnered with Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) to commemorate the race team’s 35th anniversary with a special limited-edition release of Borchetta Bourbon. The release was timed with the Month of May festivities at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, including the Grand Prix of Indianapolis and the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500.
Collectible Bottles Honor Racing Legacy
The anniversary edition featured a commemorative bottle and box celebrating CGR’s history. Each bottle was topped with a custom stopper showcasing a replica of the Dallara DW12 INDYCAR chassis, numbered 35 in recognition of the milestone. Select bottles were signed by team owner Chip Ganassi and championship drivers Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, and Alex Palou.
On Shelves and On Track
Borchetta Bourbon branding appeared on both the No. 9 and No. 10 Hondas driven by Scott Dixon and Alex Palou. The bourbon was made available starting May 19 at Big Red Speedway stores in Indianapolis, as well as at Big Machine Tavern and Big Machine Distillery in Nashville. Fans across 42 states were also able to purchase bottles online at borchettabourbon.com.
A Fitting Tribute During a Historic Month
The collaboration celebrated CGR’s extensive racing accomplishments, including 23 championships and victories in premier events such as the Indianapolis 500 (five prior to 2025), the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The release gained even more significance after Alex Palou, driver of the No. 10 Honda, went on to win the 2025 Indianapolis 500—his first victory in the historic race.
