Breckenridge Distillery’s new Single Barrel Bourbon Collection is a series of twelve hand-selected expressions designed to showcase the individuality of each barrel.
The limited release highlights Breckenridge Bourbon in its purest form, with no blending and proof points tailored specifically to each cask.
Each barrel in the collection was chosen for its ability to stand on its own, offering a complete and balanced flavor profile that reflects the effects of Colorado’s high-altitude climate and dramatic seasonal temperature swings. All twelve expressions are aged for a minimum of five years, allowing the whiskey to interact deeply with the oak and develop distinct character over time.
Rather than bottling each whiskey at a standard proof, Breckenridge Distillery proofed every barrel individually to find the point where its aromas, texture, and flavors are most expressive. Depending on the cask, drinkers may encounter notes of butterscotch, candied orange, chocolate, cacao, and warm baking spices. According to the distillery, no two barrels are exactly alike.
“Every Single Barrel we release tells its own story. From grain to bottle, we let each barrel evolve naturally, then find the exact proof where its character shines—no blending, no shortcuts, just whiskey as it was meant to be experienced,” said Hans Stafsholt, Master Distiller at Breckenridge Distillery. “Every barrel holds a moment in time. With Single Barrel, we honor that moment—selecting each cask for its individuality, then bottling it exactly as it wants to be tasted.”
The collection consists of twelve unique barrels, with proofs ranging from 100.4 to 120.5. Each bottle is identified by barrel number, proof, and bottle count, emphasizing the singular nature of every release. The Breckenridge Distillery Single Barrel Bourbon Collection carries a suggested retail price of $69.99 to $89.99.
The limited collection became available beginning June 17, 2026, at select Colorado retailers. Quantities are limited.
