Wooler Brands has officially launched with two new products—Wooler Whiskey and JP Vodka—marking a personal and professional comeback for founder Jason Wooler following a life-changing stroke.

Based in California, the family-operated company was founded by Wooler, a 30-year beverage industry veteran whose career included leadership roles with major distributors and experience working with brands such as Jim Beam. After building a successful spirits brand earlier in his career, Wooler faced years of recovery following a stroke before returning to the industry with a new venture centered around family, resilience, and authenticity.

“When I was finally able to get back to work, I turned to my family,” said Jason Wooler, President and Founder of Wooler Brands. “What we’re building is deeply personal. It’s something I’m proud of, something that tastes great, and is made with the people I love. After not knowing if I’d get another shot, this truly feels like the good life.”

The inaugural portfolio consists of Wooler Whiskey, a Kentucky Straight Bourbon distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky, and JP Vodka, a six-times distilled spirit made from 100% corn in Texas. Both products have already earned Gold Medals at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Wooler Whiskey is aged more than five years in heavy char #3 barrels and features a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, 5% malted barley, and 5% wheat. Bottled at 90 proof, the bourbon is designed for both cocktails and sipping, offering notes of citrus, aged oak, and a smooth caramel finish. The expression received a Gold Medal and a 90-point rating at the competition and carries a suggested retail price of $39.99.

JP Vodka, bottled at 80 proof, is distilled from 100% corn and crafted using reverse-osmosis water without added minerals. Naturally gluten-free and distilled six times, the vodka earned a Gold Medal and a 91-point rating at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It has a suggested retail price of $29.99.

The company’s identity reflects its family roots. The logo, featuring a sheep wearing a tilted crown, pays tribute to the Wooler family’s English farming heritage and embodies the approachable personality behind the brand. Family members occupy key roles throughout the business, with Amy Wooler overseeing operations, Chuck Wooler leading business development, Patrick Wooler managing sales and marketing, and Betsy Wooler directing the creative vision.

Wooler Brands has already established distribution in Georgia through a partnership with Savannah Distributing Company, where President Henry Monsees praised both the products and the family’s story.

Currently available in California and Georgia, Wooler Whiskey and JP Vodka are expected to expand into additional markets in the months ahead.
