Buzzard’s Roost Introduces New Signature Double Oak Bourbon

Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey is launching a new addition to its portfolio, the Signature Double Oak Bourbon, a release that fully showcases the brand’s proprietary double-oak maturation style.

The bourbon has been aged in new American white oak barrels and then finished in Buzzard’s Roost’s proprietary casks, which are lightly charred and precision-toasted for optimal flavor extraction. This method enhances the complexity of the whiskey while retaining its smooth and approachable character.

Since the beginning, all of our whiskeys have been double oaked,” says Judy Hollis Jones, co-founder and CEO of Buzzard’s Roost. “Our new Signature Double Oak Bourbon was finished in our own bourbon casks, resulting in layers of flavor that make this bourbon one of our most delicious and approachable yet.

The brand’s unique cask finishing process is a hallmark of their whiskeys, and the Signature Double Oak Bourbon exemplifies this with its rich, layered flavors.

Jason Brauner, co-founder and Master Blender at Buzzard’s Roost, emphasizes the importance of their specially toasted barrels: “All of our proprietary casks are specially toasted to coax out the most desirable flavors. Our toast profiles turn our barrels into our version of a spice rack, allowing us to create blended whiskeys that deliver complex flavors.” The resulting bourbon offers aromas of roasted nuts and cinnamon, with rich notes of vanilla and roasted almonds, balanced by a gentle spice.

At 100 proof and priced at $45 SRP, Buzzard’s Roost Signature Double Oak Bourbon is positioned as an excellent option for both sipping and cocktails. It will be available nationally, with the first bottles set to release on April 17 at the Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey Row Distillery and Tasting Room. The bourbon features a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley.
