Coachbuilt Whisky has unveiled the Atlassian Williams Racing 50-Year-Old Blended Scotch Whisky, a rare release set to debut at The Distillers One of One Auction.
The auction is set for October 10, 2025 at Hopetoun House near Edinburgh, Scotland and is presented by The Distillers One of One and Sotheby’s. The event raises funds for The Distillers’ Charity and the Youth Action Fund, which supports disadvantaged young people in Scotland.
Collaboration with Williams Racing and Jenson Button
The release is the latest project from Coachbuilt Whisky, co-founded by whisky entrepreneur George Koutsakis and 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, who also serves as Brand Ambassador for Atlassian Williams Racing. This one-of-a-kind bottling highlights the ongoing collaboration between Coachbuilt and Williams Racing.
Sculpture Crafted from Legendary FW07 Formula 1 Car

The whisky is presented in a custom sculpture stand created from reclaimed metal from the race-winning 1979 Williams Racing FW07 Formula 1 car. The piece was hand-forged by artist Mike O’Connor using traditional coachbuilding techniques and anchored on a polished black granite base. Its sweeping design captures the FW07’s distinctive rear wing, symbolizing both innovation in motorsport and artistry in whisky presentation.
A 50-Year-Old Sherry-Cask Scotch
Distilled in 1973 in Scotland’s Lowlands, the whisky matured entirely in sherry casks, spending its final four years in Oloroso wood. Bottled at 46.6% ABV with a 35% malt content, the 700ml release has an estimated auction value of $7,043 – $11,738. Flavor notes include leather, tobacco, figs, dates, and chocolate on the nose, followed by dark berries, caramel, burnt orange peel, and almond butter on the palate, with a long finish of mocha, dark chocolate, and vanilla pods.
