The new release joins the brand’s 15-year and 18-year Single Barrel bourbons.

Elijah Craig is introducing a rare extension of its Single Barrel portfolio with the release of Elijah Craig 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon, a limited ultra-aged expression debuting in celebration of National Bourbon Day. The new release will be available beginning June 14 at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience, with additional limited distribution expected later in 2026.

Ultra-Aged Expansion of the Single Barrel Series

Bottled at 94 proof, the expression continues Elijah Craig’s long-standing focus on extended maturation and the impact of barrel aging on flavor development.

Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll described the release as a more mature counterpart to the existing Single Barrel range, designed to highlight the evolution of flavor that occurs over two decades in oak while maintaining the signature profile associated with the Elijah Craig name.

Tasting Notes and Barrel Influence

On the nose, the bourbon presents toasted oak, leather, and layered spice. The palate delivers notes of milk chocolate, toasted nuts, and burnt caramel, evolving into deeper flavors of aged oak, molasses, barrel char, and peppery spice. The finish is long and structured, balancing sweetness with char-driven depth and oak influence.

The expression is presented in a custom wooden display case, reinforcing its positioning as a premium, collectible release that reflects the brand’s historical connection to barrel charring and traditional bourbon-making techniques.

Release Details and Availability

Elijah Craig 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon will be available exclusively at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience in Bardstown, Kentucky, beginning June 14.
