Limited Release Drawn from the Distillery’s Historic Deatsville Campus of Unique, Pagoda-Like Warehouses.
Heaven Hill Distillery has announced the release of Heaven Hill Deatsville 13-Year-Old Bourbon Whiskey, a limited-edition expression sourced from 17 barrels aged on the third floor of Rickhouse AA at the Deatsville campus. The release represents one of the final opportunities to experience bourbon fully matured at the site before it transitions out of active aging. The suggested retail price is $199.99.
Originally home to the shuttered T.W. Samuels Distillery, the Deatsville campus has been part of Heaven Hill’s operations since the early 1980s. The site includes nine rickhouses with a total capacity of 167,000 barrels and is the only Heaven Hill aging campus constructed with tiered roof architecture designed to promote natural airflow during maturation.

Mashbill and Maturation Details
The bourbon was produced using a traditional mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley and matured for 13 years at Deatsville. Heaven Hill ages whiskey across six warehouse sites in Kentucky, each contributing different characteristics based on structure and environment.
“For nearly a century, Heaven Hill has believed that great Bourbon is made by giving barrels the time, space and natural airflow they need to become themselves,” said Susan Wahl, Vice President, American Whiskey. “This release pays tribute to the barrels, brands, and people who brought those rickhouses to life.”
Deatsville’s Role in Heaven Hill’s Portfolio
Barrels aged at Deatsville have contributed to multiple Heaven Hill expressions, including releases within the Parker’s Heritage Collection. According to the company, the campus played a role in the 7th Edition “Promise of Hope” and the 11th Edition Single Barrel release, both associated with Parker Beam’s preferred aging site.
Transition of the Deatsville Campus
Over the next 12 to 24 months, all nine Deatsville rickhouses will transition to regauge-only status as the campus phases out of active maturation. Most barrels currently aging at Deatsville will be relocated to other Heaven Hill sites and may be referenced in future releases as having spent part of their maturation there.
The 13-Year-Old release marks the first installment in a planned multi-year tribute to the site through 2027. Heaven Hill will also offer a Deatsville Tour & Tasting experience, providing access to the private rickhouse campus and early purchase opportunities. Tickets will be available beginning March 15 through the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience website.
