The new expression joins the Jameson Reserve Series and celebrates more than 200 years of whiskey-making at the Midleton Distillery in Ireland.

Jameson is introducing a new premium expression to American whiskey drinkers with the launch of Jameson Distiller’s Batch, a whiskey designed to highlight the Single Pot Still tradition that helped shape the brand’s earliest recipes.

Single Pot Still whiskey is a distinctive Irish whiskey style made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills. Jameson says the tradition dates to its earliest recipes, including a mashbill handwritten by John Jameson II in a pocket notebook dated 1826 that remains in the brand’s archives at Midleton.

Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman crafted Jameson Distiller’s Batch using five hand-selected oak cask types. The whiskey is matured in ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry, virgin Irish oak, virgin European oak and virgin American oak casks. Jameson says the combination is intended to build depth and complexity while maintaining the silky texture and warm spice associated with its whiskey portfolio.

Five Cask Types Shape Jameson Distiller’s Batch

The whiskey opens with notes of toasted oak, honeycomb, salted caramel and baking spices, followed by flavors of dark chocolate, spicy toffee, cinnamon, ginger and orange peel. Jameson says the combination of different oak types also contributes smoked-wood notes and delicate tannins that complement the whiskey’s texture.

“200 years ago, one of the very first Jameson recipes were crafted in the Single Pot Still tradition,” said Kevin O’Gorman, Master Distiller at Midleton Distillery. “Distiller’s Batch is our way of celebrating that origin story.”

O’Gorman added that bringing together five different cask types requires careful balancing, with each contributing characteristics to the finished whiskey while retaining the recognizable Jameson style.

Jameson Distiller’s Batch is part of the brand’s Reserve Series, a premium collection that highlights different cask finishes, maturation techniques and flavor profiles. The brand recommends enjoying the new whiskey neat or in spirit-forward cocktails such as a Manhattan.

Jameson Distiller’s Batch Availability

Jameson Distiller’s Batch is bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) and is available for pre-sale ahead of its nationwide U.S. launch in September 2026. The whiskey carries a suggested retail price of $49.99 for a 750mL bottle.

The new release provides Jameson with another opportunity to showcase the Single Pot Still style to American whiskey drinkers while connecting the brand’s modern portfolio to its early whiskey-making history at Midleton.
