Jefferson’s Refreshes Portfolio With New Packaging and Liquid Updates
Jefferson’s Bourbon has introduced a refreshed look across its portfolio, along with updates to select expressions. The new packaging is designed around the brand’s history of experimentation and exploration, including its work with blending and aging bourbon at sea.
According to the brand, the updated packaging creates a more cohesive identity across the portfolio while providing a clearer way for consumers to navigate its different expressions. The refreshed core portfolio includes Jefferson’s Very Small Batch Bourbon, Jefferson’s Triple-Rye, Jefferson’s Reserve 8-Year-Old and Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea.
Jefferson’s Reserve Introduces 8-Year Age Statement
The most significant liquid update is the introduction of an 8-year age statement for Jefferson’s Reserve. The bourbon is now aged a minimum of eight years in American oak and bottled at 96 proof, an increase from the previous proof.
“Getting to this age statement meant going back through our older, more mature barrels and crafting this bourbon with intention,” said Ale Ochoa, Jefferson’s Master Blender. “Aged a minimum of eight years in American oak, this bourbon offers dark fruit and vanilla custard upfront, then baking spice, oak and toasted almond carrying through to a long, spicy finish.”
Jefferson’s Very Small Batch Moves to 88 Proof
Jefferson’s Very Small Batch Bourbon has also been updated and is now bottled at 88 proof. The brand says the new proof is intended to enhance the bourbon’s flavor and versatility for drinking neat, on the rocks or in cocktails.
The portfolio refresh reflects Jefferson’s focus on experimentation, with the brand noting that its approach has included blending different bourbons and exploring unconventional aging methods. While the packaging and select liquids have been updated, the company says its broader philosophy remains centered on experimentation and challenging conventional approaches to bourbon.
New Jefferson’s Bourbon Packaging Rolls Out Nationwide
The refreshed Jefferson’s core portfolio in 750-milliliter bottles is rolling out nationwide at spirits retailers, restaurants, bars and through JeffersonsBourbon.com. Additional 375-milliliter, 1-liter and 1.75-liter formats are scheduled to reach the market later in 2026.
