SHELBYVILLE, Ky. — Jeptha Creed Distillery, the award-winning Kentucky craft distillery owned by mother-daughter duo Joyce and Autumn Nethery, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the launch of Jeptha Creed Solera Aged Bourbon — a release that brings together whiskey made from every heirloom corn varietal the distillery has ever grown.

A Decade of Heirloom Corn: Since opening in 2016, Jeptha Creed has built its whiskey-making around heirloom corn grown on its family farms in Shelby County, Kentucky. Over the years, the distillery has grown and distilled nine non-GMO varietals: Bloody Butcher, Bruce’s Blue, Blue Clarage, Hopi Blue, Hickory King, Jimmy Red, Oaxacan Green, Pink Heirloom and White Cob White.

The Release:

For the anniversary, Jeptha Creed united all nine varietals for the first time through a Solera aging process, systematically transferring younger bourbon into older barrels so the varietals integrate and develop together over time. The result is a single expression that layers the character of each corn variety into one bottle.

“When we started the distillery ten years ago, we knew we wanted to build something that began with the land and the grain we grow here on our family farm,” said Joyce Nethery, Master Distiller and CEO of Jeptha Creed Distillery. “Over the years, we’ve learned something new from each whiskey release along the way. This Solera Aged Bourbon represents a decade of hard work, dedication and patience. It’s a reflection of where we started, how far we’ve come and what makes Jeptha Creed who we are today.”

The Whiskey:

Bottled at 100 proof, Jeptha Creed Solera Aged Bourbon is crafted from a mash bill of 75% heirloom corn, 20% malted rye and 5% malted barley.

Where to Find It: The bourbon debuts at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, September 10–13, before going on sale at the Jeptha Creed Distillery Visitor Center and online shop starting September 17. The release is part of the distillery’s broader 10th anniversary celebrations, culminating in the Jammin’ at Jeptha concert featuring Rodney Atkins on October 10.

Price:

Jeptha Creed Solera Aged Bourbon carries an MSRP of $79.99 for a 750ml bottle. Learn more at jepthacreed.com.
