Johnnie Walker Black Cask Debuts as Permanent U.S. Expression.
Johnnie Walker has announced the launch of Johnnie Walker Black Cask Blended Scotch Whisky in the United States. The new expression will become a permanent addition to the brand’s portfolio and is aged exclusively in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels.
According to the company, Black Cask is crafted using specially selected whiskies from the core of Johnnie Walker Black Label, including whiskies from Cameronbridge, Glen Elgin, and Roseisle. The maturation process is intended to highlight notes of creamy vanilla sweetness, rich caramel depth, gentle spice, and smooth oak warmth.
Crafted by Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker
The release was developed under the leadership of Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker. “At Johnnie Walker we are constantly pushing the boundaries of what great whisky can be,” said Dr. Walker. “For more than 200 years, Johnnie Walker has shaped the world of Scotch, and that heritage gives us the confidence and authority to innovate. The result is a beautifully layered whisky that feels excitingly new yet remains unmistakably Johnnie Walker.”

National Campaign and Availability
The launch will be supported by a national campaign including digital and social media initiatives, immersive tastings, and educational programming led by Dr. Walker. A multi-market U.S. tour is planned across Texas, California, Florida, New York, and New Jersey.
Johnnie Walker Black Cask will be available beginning March 1, 2026, wherever fine spirits are sold in the United States. It is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof) with a suggested retail price of $34.99 for a 750ml bottle. The whisky is designed to be enjoyed neat, over ice, or in cocktails such as an Old Fashioned or Gold Rush.
