Keeper’s Heart Launches Triple Pot Distilled Straight Rye Whiskey

O’Shaughnessy Distilling Co. & Keeper’s Heart Brings Irish Triple Pot Distillation to American Rye.

Keeper’s Heart Whiskey has announced the launch of Triple Pot Distilled Straight Rye, the second release in the brand’s trilogy of American triple pot distilled whiskeys. Following the debut of American Pot Still Whiskey, the new expression combines Irish whiskey-making techniques with one of America’s traditional whiskey styles.

Crafted by Master Distiller Brian Nation, Keeper’s Heart Triple Pot Distilled Straight Rye is made with 100% Midwestern rye, including 10% malted rye. The whiskey is triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in virgin American oak barrels.

Keeper’s Heart Reimagines Straight Rye With Triple Pot Distillation

The new release applies Keeper’s Heart’s Irish distilling approach to American rye whiskey. The brand says the process is intended to retain the bold character associated with rye while adding depth, texture and complexity through triple pot distillation.

“Straight rye whiskey has always been about bold character, spice, and individuality,” said Brian Nation, Keeper’s Heart Master Distiller. “With this release, we wanted to explore what happens when you take that unmistakable American spirit and apply the depth, texture, and complexity that comes from Irish triple pot distillation. The result is a rye whiskey that is both familiar and completely new.”

Keeper’s Heart describes the resulting whiskey as vibrant and complex, with notes of cracked pepper, baking spice, rye bread, brown sugar, dark caramel, herbal flavors and charred oak. The whiskey is described as rich and viscous with a balance of sweet and savory flavors, and is intended for both sipping and cocktails.

Keeper’s Heart Continues Irish-American Whiskey Approach

The Triple Pot Distilled Straight Rye continues Keeper’s Heart’s broader approach of combining Irish and American whiskey traditions. The Minneapolis-based brand was launched in 2021 by cousins Patrick and Michael O’Shaughnessy, with Nation serving as Master Distiller.

Keeper’s Heart Triple Pot Distilled Straight Rye is bottled at 96 proof and will be available nationwide beginning in November 2026. The suggested retail price is $49.99 for a bottle, with the whiskey also available through the Keeper’s Heart website.
